Please use the following tool with caution and make sure you are tracking your campaign well and that you know what you are doing. If needed, please consult our support team.
Bid Override gives you better control over your traffic. It allows you to target better quality sources with higher bids, whilst still allowing you take advantage of other traffic sources at a lower price. In addition, it doesn't prevent you being exposed to new traffic sources, like Whitelisting will do, or changing quality levels, like Blacklisting may do.
There are two ways to set a bid override.
Advanced Settings - Bid Override
You can find the option in the Advanced Settings of an ad, this is the three horizontal lines to open the menu.
Each of our traffic sources has its own ID and using the tool, you can set a specific bid for each source, either higher or lower than the default one that you have set for this ad.
You may wish to set higher bids for high-performing subids (so you can win more traffic) and lower bids for less-performing subids (so you pay less for the traffic that you get).
Please take extra caution and make sure you are only using the IDs passed to your Target URL by the {BV_SRCID} Macro.
Analytics report - SubID
The second option is via the Analytics report, where you can directly set what you want the bid for each source to be.
