Google Analytics (aka GA) does not track well redirection traffic, such as the traffic that you buy from us. Since all of our traffic goes through our redirection domain (where we filter out traffic, count users etc) – GA tags the traffic as coming from one domain, and for their own reasons, they don’t track it well. Just as a test case, if you will replace GA with a tracker that knows how to handle redirect traffic well (such as bemob or voluum) – you will see right away that close to 100% of the traffic is tracked well.
If, however, you insist on keep using GA (which is understandable because it is convenient), you can do two main things in order to increase its accuracy:
1. Add a unique tracking parameter to your links, holding our clickid – which is represented by the {BV_CLICKID} macro. For example it can be “?clickid={BV_CLICKID}” or “&clickid={BV_CLICKID}” if you already have some parameters there. {BV_CLICKID} will be replaced with a unique ID for each user that is sent to your website – which makes it easier to GA to track better.
2. Add, in a similar way, the {BV_SRCID} macro which represents the source ID. It can be, for example, “&utm_source={BV_SRCID}”. This way, you will be able to compare the data per source on GA vs the subid report of the campaign in our platform – and blacklist subids that show very high discrepancy.
